This is also where Johan garnered his first experience in the junior section in 2008, before moving up to the main STCC category a year later.
He was the 2011 championship runner-up in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia, and clinched his first titles a year later, winning the STCC, the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia and the Superstars International Series in Italy. Petter Solberg, a rallying all-rounder. The Norwegian raced in the World Rally Championship between 1998 and 2012, winning the title with Subaru in 2003. Petter finished on the top step of the WRC podium on no fewer than 13 occasions. However, he also knows how to handle himself when it comes to wheel-to-wheel action: he has been driving in the World Rallycross Championship since 2014, and won the championship at the first attempt in a Citroën DS3. He backed up this outstanding effort by successfully defending the title in 2015.
However, Petter is not the only member of his family to be actively involved in rallying. His older brother Henning regularly competes in the World Rally Championship.
