SÉBASTIEN OGIER

Date of birth: 17 December 1983

Place of birth: Gap (F)

Engines and sport are his passions, and the mechanic and qualified ski instructor is considered to be the world's top rally driver. He won the French Rallye Jeunes for up-and-coming drivers in 2005 and went on to win the junior world championship title within the space of just three years. He joined the WRC in 2009 and scored his first victory in 2010 in Rally Portugal. This was followed in 2011 by five rally victories and third place overall in the championship. The Frenchman has been a part of the Volkswagen Motorsport team since November 2011. In the 2012 season, Ogier competed in eleven WRC events in the Škoda Fabia S2000 and also played an active part in developing the Polo R WRC. This paid off, as the 2013 season proved to be the Frenchman's most successful season of his career to date, with a dream coming true after eleven out of the 13 rallies: Ogier clinched the Drivers' Championship title in Rally France, before the season had finished. In the 2014 season it is a tough challenge against his team-mate Jari-Matti Latvala, but after twelve out of the 13 rallies Ogier successfully defends his World Champion title. And there was no beating the Frenchman the following year. Eight wins in 13 rallies went to Ogier, he defended his title for the second time and will contest his fourth WRC season for Volkswagen in 2016.

JULIEN INGRASSIA

Date of birth: 26 November 1979

Place of birth: Aix-en-Provence (F)

He embarked on his career as a co-driver in the French national rallies in 2002. He has shared the cockpit with Sébastien Ogier since Ogier won the Rallye Jeunes, since 2006 they have been a solid team. The two Frenchmen scored victories in the junior world championship in 2008, in Rallye Monte Carlo (IRC) in 2009, and in seven WRC events so far since 2010. The seasoned team of two are inseparable and jointly switched allegiances in November 2011, since when Julien Ingrassia has been writing his pace notes for Volkswagen Motorsport. Julien Ingrassia celebrated the biggest victory of his career so far in 2013, becoming the world champion in the co-drivers’ standings alongside Sébastien Ogier in Rally France. But that's not all: Just one season later Ingrassia and Ogier successfully defend their titles and become world champions 2014. The 2015 WRC season spectacularly saw the French duo defend the title once again. They won eight out of 13 rallies and will take on mission Defend Title once again in 2016.
